Time is Running Out!!
Only two weeks remain to submit your abstract to the most important public health event of the year!
The American Public Health Association is receiving abstracts for the 2010 Annual Meeting and Exposition to be held November 6-10, in Denver, CO. Submit your abstract to join hundreds of your colleagues in presenting research in the field of Public Health. The deadline for submission of abstracts range from February 1 thru February 5, 2010 depending on the Section, SPIG, Caucus or Forum to which you wish to submit.
Theme: Social Justice: A Public Health Imperative
We encourage abstracts in all areas of public health and are also interested in abstracts that focus on the Annual Meeting theme. Abstracts should be no more than 250 words and must include a measurable learning objective.
Easy Online Tools
An easy to use online form will walk you through the process step-by-step. The site is now opened so you may link directly to the abstract submission form through the APHA website.
Authors must provide complete and accurate contact information in order to be notified of abstract status on June 1. You do not have to be a member of APHA to submit an abstract, however, if your abstract is accepted, presenting authors must become an Individual member as well as register for the Annual Meeting.
On behalf of the Health Evaluation Topical Interest Group (TIG) of the American Evaluation Association (AEA), we welcome (and encourage!) you to submit proposals focusing on health evaluation at AEA’s national conference. This year’s conference will be held November 10-13th in San Antonio, Texas.
The 2010 conference theme is “Evaluation Quality.”
The Health Evaluation TIG especially welcomes presentations that focus on:
- Tools for measuring health related outcomes, particularly intermediate outcomes.
- How evaluations of prevention and intervention programs should be conducted.
- How to evaluate health policy.
- How health evaluation policy influences health evaluation practice.
- Evaluating health prevention programs.
The Health Evaluation TIG is primarily interested in papers or posters that focus on evaluation methods or procedures rather than the results of a specific study or program evaluation. Submitted proposals should be consistent with the conference theme and should appeal to a wide range of professionals evaluating health related programs. All proposals must be submitted via the internet using AEA's online forms at: http://www.eval.org/eval2010/10proposals.htm.
Please read through the entire submission process and contact the Program Chairperson if you have any questions or need further information. All proposals are due Midnight (EST), Friday, March 19, 2010. More information about the conference and the proposal submission process can be found at: http://www.eval.org/eval2010/default.asp.
We strongly encourage you to submit a proposal for a paper or panel, and to help us in our effort to continue increasing the quality and scope of the AEA conference program. On behalf of Robert LaChausse (Health Evaluation TIG Chair) and myself, we are looking forward to seeing you in Texas.
