Julie P. James, BA, is the Director of Research Administration. Ms. James joined the IHR in 2012. She provides strategic leadership to the IHR in regards to administrative functions, oversees the management of IHR finances, provides oversight of IHR research administration activities including pre- and post-award management of grants and contracts, administrative support, automated communication technology, tumor registry, and facility operations.

Ms. James received her Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics from the Colorado College. She has trained in Toyota Lean methodology (2006), completed the Society for Research Administrators (SRA) Senior Executive Institute (2008), the University of Denver Executive Leadership Program (2010), the Kaiser Permanente Leadership Explore (2013), Accelerate (2023), and attended numerous National Council of University Research Administrators (NCURA) and SRA conferences and trainings.
